Highway tolls in Poland

Motorway charging in Poland takes place through toll gates, where vehicles weighing up to 3.5 t can be paid by cash, payment and refuelling card, mobile app or on-board unit. The method of payment of tolls for vehicles weighing more than 3,5 t varies according to the toll system operator for the motorway. On motorways covered by the e-Toll system (formerly ViaToll), vehicles weighing more than 3.5 t must be paid by the on-board unit or via the e-TOLL PL App mobile app. Parts of the A1, A2 and A4 motorways are charged for vehicles up to 3.5 t, and for vehicles with the maximum permissible weight above 3.5 t, i.e. for most cars with trailers, the map of toll roads is more extensive.
